My Quest to save Mankind
In my ongoing quest to save mankind from its own stupidity, I've decided that there's more urgent things to teach than evolution.
I've decided to teach mankind how to park their cars. I mean "parking" in the strict sense: Off the sidewalk and in just one designated parking spot - and if possible, in less than 10 minutes of agonizing incompetence.
Enjoy my parking lesson. :-)

Ey, sorry so long no reply - I've been travelling :-)
Haha love it - I got to level 10 before crashing too many times.

I'm going to be driving soon and...
...my inability to surpass level two frightens me.

hows the natural selection one coming along? :-P Surely you haven't gotten too tired of playing God yet :-)
Re: My Quest to save Mankind
The skills needed for this game are not needed for a driving test. All that's required is a bag of 3 quite simple tricks, that work in perfect conditions only. My game requires advanced driving skills that not even the Stig possesses. So don't worry: You're not alone in not being able to park.Imagine wrote:I'm going to be driving soon and...

I'm afraid the programming season is over. The days are getting to long; coding takes long, dark winter nights with wind and rain rattling the windows.Clint wrote:hows the natural selection one coming along? :-P Surely you haven't gotten too tired of playing God yet :-)
People are already signing up for my kayaking-class, starting in June. That gives me a chance to play God over some real creatures and bring natural selection in practice. My ducks might have to wait until next fall... unless the weather turns really bad.
I've programmed another form of life though.
I've programmed this in almost any language that I ever layed hands on. My first version was on a Commodore 64, in a combination of Basic and machine code. It took me weeks of programming, but with its superfast 5 frames per second I was the envy of all the nerds around me.
Just for the heck of it, I programmed it once more, in Haxe/ActionScript. It took me 2.5 hours from start to finish, with more controls, a bigger screen and faster updates than I've ever seen before.
Programming isn't what it used to be...
The algorithm is famous, by the way. It caused quite a stir when it first appeared, 40 years ago.
