Now that I think about it...

Surely I'm not the only one to whom this has happened!

You're talking to a group of friends, family members, or co-workers, and the perfect moment comes for a little religous/political joke. You either don't consider who you are talking to, or the idea of a good laugh (which very well may end in an awkward silence) allows you to comfortably splurt out the first thing that comes to your mind--a "brain-to-mouth filter error," if you will.

So what are your "Now that I think about it..." moments?



Here's one of mine.

It had been a long evening--closing night of the fall play in which I had a leading role. The actors, myself included, gathered outside of the auditorium after the show to meet & greet with any lingering audience members. A few friends approached me, and the conversation went as follows:

"That was, like, Chuck-Norris-awesome!"
"That was better than Chuck Norris, really!"
"Nothing is better than Chuck Norris!"
"Jesus is!"
"Nothing can defeat Jesus!"
Me: "Nails can!"
*silence*
